Studio canvas
The Studio canvas is a pannable, zoomable surface that holds windows. It has no cards.
The Studio canvas is the surface under your windows. You pan it, zoom it and return it to its home position. Every tool, result and dashboard in Studio opens as a window on the canvas.
Nothing else lives on the canvas. It has no cards, no card tiers and no automatic result placement. Tiered cards belong to the Chat canvas, which is a different surface.
Moving around
| Input | Effect |
|---|---|
| Two-finger scroll or mouse wheel | Pans the canvas |
| Ctrl + scroll, or trackpad pinch | Zooms, from 0.1× to 3× |
| Right-button drag on empty canvas | Pans. Dragging over a window or a button does not pan |
| Middle-button drag | Pans |
| Left-button drag on empty canvas | Nothing. The left button is kept for moving windows |
| Double-click | Nothing. Double-click zoom is off |
Zoom controls
Three buttons sit over the canvas:
- + zooms in 1.25× around the centre of the screen, up to 2×.
- − zooms out by the same step, down to 0.1×.
- Home resets the pan and zoom to where the canvas started.
Grid
Workspace → Toggle Grid in the bottom toolbar draws a grid over the canvas. Workspace → Snap to Grid moves every open window onto that grid. For the other layout commands, see Windows.
Screen size
Studio needs a browser window at least 1024 px wide. When the window is narrower, a notice appears while the workspace loads.
